AI floor-plan detection

Turn an existing floor-plan image into an editable NexusPlan drawing. A vision model traces the walls, finds the doors and windows, and estimates the scale — giving you a working layout in seconds to refine.

This is the AI upgrade to the classical Detect walls scanner, and needs a saved provider key and a Pro Team or Business plan.

Steps

  1. Import your plan image. In the Floor panel choose Import floor plan and place your PDF or image.
  2. Open Detect walls from the Build panel.
  3. Switch the engine to AI (the Standard scanner stays available on every plan).
  4. Click Scan. The model reads the image and proposes walls, openings and a scale.
  5. Review — the suggestions appear on the plan; click any line to exclude it.
  6. Click Add. The walls are drawn, doors and windows are attached to them, and the detected scale is applied.

AI’s scale is an estimate. Because every measurement, area and quote depends on it, confirm it with Set scale in the Floor panel if you have a known dimension — trace a wall you know the length of and enter it.
